Is it wrong to be feel critical of really materialistic people?
So yesterday I was driving through south Orange County in CA, and every single person driving around had either a new Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, Aston Martin, Ferrari, or Bentley. I swear I saw four new Bentleys (and the people driving them weren’t even that old). As glamorous and cool as all of these people seemed with their expensive clothes and cars, I couldn’t help but feel…a little disgusted with all of the money that was being spent on these materialistic things. I know I have no right to judge…but it just seems kind of wrong for parents to buy their kids brand new luxury cars right out of high school and for anyone(young or old) to drop $200,000 on a car. In addition, all the homes in that area are well over a million dollars…and most of the clothing stores are designer stores. I just feel kind of guilty seeing all of this money being spent on things as opposed to helping others. Am I wrong to feel this way?
You have to keep in mind that once you have a certain amount of money, it really does not matter what you spend it on. Although it might seem obsence to you, it is quite normal for people who were born into money.
Giving a highschooler a $200,000 car can be equivalent to a normal parent giving thier highschool a $2000 Car.
Kids grow up watching behaviors of family and parents…SO if you live an extravagant lifestyle as a parent, you better be prepared to share the wealth with your kids..lol
So, it’s find to feel critical…Until u win the lottery…then u too will be rollin in a bentley
