Hey you guys I want to buy this car, but have some questions?

Well first off, I just recently passed my driver’s test XD. i am a college student and need to buy my first car, you know to go from home to school and to my job (possibly). I like them classic vw beetles or “bugs” but i have some questions;

1. First off, can I rely on a vw bug (years 69-73)?
2. is it an economical car?
3. And finally and somewhat important, can I lower the car’s suspension (drop it)? or does the year depend? I say this because all the dropped bugs ive seen are 69 and down, not 70 and up.
4. Also, if I decide to purchase one, should i go for a manual or an automatic trans bug?

if you can fix-em then get em , you can drop any car you need a good reliable mechanic , had a 88 jetta 16v 5sp recaro electric seats 4dr ,lasted 250k till my bro traded it in for a crappy vw passat .
