Isn’t the Aston Martin brand ranked above the Mercedes brand as far as the level of luxury?

I’m trying to prove to my sister that driving an auto from the Aston Martin line(among others) is considered to be higher in luxury and that the Mercedes is simply more well known because you see them more and it has a more widely recognized symbol. She wants individuality so I showed her non typical autos like the new 4dr sedans from Aston Martin and Fisker Karma online but she won’t budge from the Mercedes because she sees it as the top of all luxury cars. If I earned her frikn’ salary I would get something other than what every other person in her income bracket drives out there!Yawn…boring. Am I wrong? I consider a Mercedes to be like getting vanilla or chocolate ice cream,you know it,you love it, its great, but why not get the decadent Godiva white chocolate raspberry swirl instead?Am I way off here?Is the Aston Martin line ranked higher?

Aston Martin, all the way. Mercedes are produced, whereas Astons are hand-built. They also use higher-quality components allaround. And yes they are rarer. You also can’t base a car’s lujxury on performance, because if you take a Ferarri, its got tons of power, but you can still see where they spot-welded the whole thing together.
