Aston Martin DBS: 2+2 seating option?
Does anyone have any more information about this and when it will be available? I couldn’t find anything on Aston Martin’s website about it, but many auto blogs and sites have rumored that the DBS will be available with a rear seat option instead of the standard storage and optional leather saddle.
I’m familiar the DB9 and the Rapide. I really love the DBS with all the carbon fiber. I just figured that if there is room to put two seats in why not put them in. Sure it adds a little more weight, but the carbon fiber backed seats aren’t going to make that big of a difference in noticeable performance.
Many websites rumor on and on about a four-seater DBS. Aston Martin did not confirm these rumors, though the car was seen at the 2009 Geneva Autoshow, and was frequently tested among websites and magazines. That being said, I would guess this car would come out sometime in late 2009, early 2010.
However, there are also some other Aston Martin 4-seat/4-door options. The 2008 DB9 Coupe has an available 2+2 seating arrangement, and the 2009 Rapide will have 4 doors and 4 seats.
