Aston Martin DB9 Vs Jaguar XKR?
They are both very similiar, so is the DB9 really worth almost $100,000 more than an XKR. How much more will the DB9 cost for parts and yearly maintenance. Also which is more reliable.
Well, major difference is V12 (DB9) vs V8 (XKR).
DB9 maint is done every 15K or so miles vs the XKR every 30K or so. The DB9 will tear you apart with maint. costs whereas the XKR is surprisingly ‘affordable’ (relatively).
I’ve seen XKRs with 90K miles on them and still going strong. I’ve yet to see an Aston with more than 30K, but they’re usually not driven as much by their owners.
PS – XKR does not come in manual transmission. Period.
